DO NOT WORK FOR THEM - THEY DON'T PAY THE TRANSLATORS OR INTERPRETERS
I worked on an assignment for them at the L.A. Convention Center for the city of Los Angeles back in May 2012. After sending my invoice they didn't even acknowledge the fact that they had received it. After more than a month I had to contact the coordinators who gave me the assignments originally and they had to email Accounting as well. I waited approximately another 2 months just to receive PARTIAL payment. My invoice was for $870 but they only paid $500 with no explanation as to why they had not paid it in full. I sent several emails regarding the balance and NO REPLY, NO PHONE CALL, nothing. It has been 4 months now and I'm still waiting to received the balance they owe me. I've been in contact with the other interpreters who also worked with me on that assignment and they also have indicated that they have not been paid AT ALL. Perhaps because they did not insisted like I did. I have given them an ultimatum to process my balance or I will take legal measures in this matter. Hopefully they'll learn a lesson this way.
