This is the biggest scam I have ever seen and I too got sucked into it out of desperation. I had been not been working steady and got behind on my car payments. I was given the number to ARG and was told they could help me. I called and explained my situation. They took some information and then told me that I qualified and that all I needed to pay $298.00 to start the process. I had to pay in payments but got it paid. Then they explained to me what would happen next and what I needed to do. I was supposed to receive paper work in 5 to 7 business days. I waited 2 weeks and had not rec'd anything, so I called. They gave me such a run around. He said they changed my account executive and then told me that I needed to give him all my information again for some reason. I was very frustrated and asked him how long it would be and he said 5 - 7 business days. Well I waited another 2 weeks and still no paper work. So I called and asked for a refund. Now, supposedly, they send a request for a refund and told me that it would take about week. A week later, I called to ck the status and was told that the computers had been down and they had to resubmit the request. I was mad to say the least. From that point on, I called the 2 different numbers I have for them at least twice a week and left message after message at several different extensions of reps I had previously spoken to. No one ever returned any of my calls. Finally, after about 4 weeks of calling, the numbers I have are no long in service. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they tried to contact ARG several time but with no response either.
I should have checked ARG out more thoroughly, but like I said, I was desperate for help. I have learned a valuable lesson and I hope that all of the people (including myself) eventually gets our money back.
