My own experience with the plan is very positive. Basically, my preferred dentist accepts one of their plans so I subscribe to that plan. I live in Manhattan, where the dental fees can be quite high. I know with certainty that I am paying about $900 per crown, while those without the plan pay about $1,300. Re-centing loose crown is cheaper, too, as are X-Rays, root canals, and pretty much all standard procedures. Implants are expensive and not discounted, since the dental is board certified in two specialties, including prostadontics and peradontics, and specialty procedures are not discounted. He makes this clear before performing any uncovered work. Our dental insurance pays almost nothing, but when it is combined with the discount plan the savings are considerable.
In my own experience, this companies business practices are extremely ethical, although I can't speak to individual experiences of any of those who have offered negative reviews here.
