I think Shoe Dazzle is a little scam-ish. I was a member for about a week, at the end of Sept/beginning of Oct 2011. For starters, any company that is going to bill you each month before you actually buy anything is, let's face it, kinda trying to scam you. I was disappointed to find out that shoe dazzle was automatically going to bill me each month unless I remembered to "opt out" prior to the 5th of each month. (And this fact is NOT made clear in the beginning stages of signing up.) That's a red flag right there. It reminds me of the "Columbia Records" CD memberships from back in the day (have I dated myself??) where if you didn't remember to mail back your card on time, declining the monthly selection, you'd be forced to pay for it. No thank you. I don't want to be charged 40 bucks each month if I haven't selected any shoes. Secondly, I ordered 3 pairs of shoes during my initial excitement, and selected expedited shipping since I live on the East Coast and wanted to receive them within a few days. I had no idea that each pair was going to ship separately and therefore triple my shipping charge (to total about an extra $30.) That's a rip off. (Are they not shipping from the same warehouse?? Of course they are.) Again, if items are going to ship separately, this should be CLEARLY STATED during the check out process, which it is not. When I called to complain about this, I found customer service to be rude, condescending and passive-aggressive. I agree 100% with a previous reviewer, Ashley, about this point. I've done plenty of online shopping in my day, I've dealt with plenty of customer service reps, and these folks are rude. Of course I returned all three pairs of shoes, partly b/c I was turned off by the experience, and partly b/c the quality is not so good anyway. I am still waiting for my refund and I returned them 3 weeks ago. Seriously...anyone who wants to pay $40 for shoes should just take themselves to Marshall's where you can find name brands, and better quality for this price. Honestly the quality of Shoe Dazzle stuff is on par with Payless, so why not just go there?? (And spend less.) What exactly are we paying for with Shoe Dazzle?? The fact that Kim K "approves" a particular style?? Please.

Stephanie,
I'm having trouble locating your account! Is there a better way for us to reach you, such as email address and/or client ID number? We would love to discuss your experience with ShoeDazzle, as yours was absolutely not a typical one. For detailed answers on how ShoeDazzle works, please feel free to visit: http://www.shoedazzle.com/faqs. Everything is explained clearly and thoroughly within the FAQs.
ShoeDazzle doesn't charge anything until after your 1st purchase. This means that you are more than welcome to browse the stylists' recommendations for you as long as you like. After your first purchase is made, you're enrolled in the monthly billing cycle, but we give you the option to "Skip the Month" between the 1st and the 5th. Unlike other memberships, such as gym, CD clubs, etc, we give our clients the option to tell us whether or not they want to be charged!
If you ever are unable to skip and are charged, it is not a "fee", but a store credit that can be applied to any item of your choosing at any point for up to a year. You pay nothing additional, no hidden fees, taxes, shipping, etc. Client Services is always more than willing to help out in adjusting your profile if you're ever unsatisfied with the items the stylists have suggested.
ShoeDazzle also offers many ShoeDazzle Exclusive styles, such as our Signature Sole line and Celebrity Charity Designs. We work with high-quality vendors whose client lists include Nordstroms, Macy's, House of Dereon and Chinese Laundry. We stand by our products 100% and, as 1.6 Million of our Facebook clients would agree, we're doing our best to improve daily and absolutely appreciate your constructive criticism as it helps us continue to grow.
Please do not hesitate to contact Ryan at 1-888-508-1888 ext 203 if you have any questions. He'll be more than happy to help you with any concerns you may have! =)
