On July19, 2011, I went to the San Jose Western Appliance store on San Carlos St and purchased a Bosch washer and dryer set, plus stack kit, vent kit, and delivery and installation and removal of the old one. While the sale went off fine and the sales person noting everything was in stock and I could take delivery anytime. So I set it for July 23.
From here it went bad, first they told us that the stack kit was actually not in stock and I would have to wait a week, the units were delivered and the old washer/dryer was taken away( meaning no washer/dryer for a week) A week goes by and a delivery day was set, but the delivery people forgot to load it on the truck. Another delivery day was set. This time it came and the washer and dryer was finally installed. But they barely turned it on before rushing away, even though on the dryer, they had to push the drum to make it spin. Of course, the units had problems and did not function. I called Western Appliance, spoke to a manager. After some coercing, he agreed to send a repairman. A date is set and a repairman comes over and he finds the dryer needs a new motor and a new control board on the washer. So another week goes by and still no washer/dryer to use. I called in to try to get things going, the manager told me he'll get on it and will get back to me. Hopefully I get a callback soon...
So this is whats happened so far, and things have not been resolved yet.
Overall the experience was not good and the service after the sale does not give the customer a sense of urgency or that they will be taken care of.
This is my experience. Hopefully if you do chance it, yours will differ. Regards.
